About
Topher Morcos (also known as @OriginalTopher) specializes in meticulous murrine adorned vessels. He has a natural eye for design - creating elaborate images and scenes using murine techniques, which bring each unique piece to life.
Topher's interest in glass sparked during college, and after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship in 2014, he took a risk and decided to pursue a career in glass blowing full time. Topher's artistic curiosity and interest in mastering the art of murrine began to grow the more he learned - His persistent dedication to his passion led him to discover unique applications of murrine, and he has pushed himself to put new spins on a classic technique. Taught by the innovative, award winning murrine artists Karl Taylor and David Kaminski, Topher uses both “functional” and “non-functional” work to explore themes like: sheet music, hieroglyphs, animals, and even the elusive Slenderman..
To date, Topher has created over 100 murrine images that delve deep into each theme, skipping no detail, including every music note and an entire 26 letter hieroglyphic alphabet. He has also been commissioned to make logos and signatures for reputable galleries and artists.
